Martin Garcia - Outstanding Young Jock Still Cooking

Bug boy Martin Garcia keeps slinging the proverbial hash while garnering comparisons to Bill Shoemaker for his abilities on the track. He has no plans to quit his job at a local deli, even as he topped the jockeys standings, tied with Russell Baze, at the recently concluded Bay Meadows meet and continues to win at a 25% clip.

It's great to see some new blood winning arouns here. Interesting how it has actually made Baze a more honest rider. He seems to be winning more on the horses he should win with anyway.
Also note that Martin Garcia is second in teh nation in wins and First in "In teh money %", but let's not forget there are a lot of 5 horse fields in northern California.
Keep bringing it Martin, you're a great kid.

Hi is amazing, rode my familys horse to victory, after she was barely showing at the wire. You watch him, and you would think he has been a seasoned Jockey for many years.
I wonder... is he off of his suspension today? At Del Mar all the bettors were thrown for a loop, he is good to handicap. Thanks
